Hello,

Need your help . . . my work lights and beacon light attached to the top of my Curtis Cab all of a sudden stopped working. I replaced the work light fuse, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. I was out snow blowing one evening and they just quit on me. Can't see any wiring issues . . . is there something I'm missing, would appreciate any trouble shooting ideas.

Photos show my switch setup inside the cab, and the outside of my cab.

Use a volt meter and check where you have, and do not have, 12v.

One switch (knob) appears to have had some over-heating problems by the dark colors... do you have 12v to that switch, and out of it?

Also, fine a 12v hot wire, and use a jumper wire to feed(supply) your lights to check if they are in working order.

The black knob is the on off switch for the heater. That's working fine. The other two switches are for the beacon light and the work lights. These lights are not working as mentioned in my OP.

Beenthere,

Thanks, I'll have to test out my wiring and system as you suggested. Thanks for your help and for responding.

If it's just those two lights/systems, nothing else, then it has to be a common fault. A point where only those two circuits/wires connect to the power source together.

I would suspect a common connection, even a crimp. Vibration, over time, will loosen/break those connections. Gently wiggling/pulling on those connections may reveal the culprit.

Wagtail,

Thanks, will do, have to wait until latest snow storm passes, expecting up to 17" next few days. Appreciate all replies and suggestions.
