Thanks for the note on the electric pressure washing working with a header tank- I could not try that as I don't have a tank I can use that way. I even considered drilling a hole in the bucked and mounting a fitting, and just putting water in the bucket.

I'll give it a shot that way the next time I can, and see how it goes.

I have an electric Stihl pressure washer that is used to spray trees, grass, flowers, etc. Never had a problem with the system or pump. Since its electric, I take it out on the road or fields by hooking on my tractor powered PTO alternator and put a 150 gallon solution tank in the front end loader bucket. Plug it in, feed it with a hose from the tank, raise the bucket to get some head pressure and bingo, a tree sprayer, a weed sprayer, a mosquito sprayer and a remote car washer. I even used it a few times to spray a mist on the horses. They loved it during hot August days. Set the spray wand to wide pattern and that's all I ever need. Wash out with clear water.

How much vertical height are you able to get with that setup?

I did end up hooking up my pressure washer with the sprayer tank as a feed tank. I ran some tests comparing the big spray gun from Northern Tool and the standard wand. The spray gun gave me control of droplet size, from a very fine mist to a stream. In stream mode it sprayed higher too, so I like that setup best.

In fine mist mode it put out a lot of mist- I was thinking that if I was spraying trees, it would be at least 10x faster than using the wand on my standard sprayer.

I can easily hit the peaks of my roof, so about 30' high with that setup.
