Might be okay if all your trees have toothpick size limbs. Not sure how it would on an oak with a 20" limb that is 15 to 20 feet long.

I don't thing it would work on oaks at all, the trunks tend to fork a lot. We have a LOT of pine trees planted by builders in our suburban areas that constantly need pruning. This would be perfect for those. It would also make it a lot safer to drop the 50 - 60 foot tall trees when they get sick or die, run this guy up to limb it and then you can just take the sections out. If I had a tree service, I'd definitely be figuring out how to copy this design.
