If that tire blows it isn't going to effect the handling of the tractor too much. The ones on my 3910 weren't much better than that when I replaced them, I replaced them because it blew out. My uncle was using it at the time and said he thought a shotgun went off and he dang near soiled himself. He thought it was something he hit but I assured him the tire was coming apart from the inside. Its not like he was a newby to equipment, grew up and lives on the same farm I'm on, a lifetime of tractoring and hes a heavy duty truck mechanic. He used mine that day because I had the bushhog on it and he needed to do like 3 acres.

One of them blew on the highway last week. My BIL, who was driving, didn’t notice anything except the loud blast. Found a neighbor with 2 old but hardly used tires, $500 for the pair of 20.8 x 38s. They were the outside duals the farmer selling used one season and then decided installing and removing the duals was too much for what he gained. These tires, despite the condition, do their job well both in traction and flotation.
