Trap plans?

Does anyone have plans to build animal traps? I need to start "evicting" some of the groundhogs on our farm...they seem to double each year! I got rid of a few last year, but they wise up real quick.

Also, anyone have experience with the bucket traps that use a 5 gallon bucket? They are on Ebay for $35 shipped...

best trap for a G-Hog is a peice of lead trapped in it's little brain. Sorry, but thos are some destructive animals.
I am not normally like that about any animal. Live and let live but G-Hogs are an exception

I went to TSC last night and stared at the Havahart trap ($46) for a few minutes, then came home after work today and made a similar one out of some old fence and some tie wires. I set it out about an hour ago, baited with an apple slice and some peanut butter...we'll see how it works...still not sure if the "trigger" is too hard and/or if the door will not let them back out (relying on gravity a bit here), but those are just "tweaks" /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
