depends on the shipping line, I had one take about 30 days to reach Seattle one time.

Hey you remember the old tale about a "slow boat to China?" well this is sometimes a "slow boat from China" The ocean crossing isn't usually the problem (most boat Captains know the way)it's the time to fill orders and fill containers, schedule loading, customs, and the list goes on and on.I had three orders,,so far 90-120 days each, from order to arrival. Don't get discouraged. It'll make your hair turn grey. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hi David, Paid Hubei export 23 rd July, been waiting 79 days to date.
Not what they say in their sales advertising. What's more worrying is that I still don't have a bill of loading. If my tractor's not at sea now, Hubei said it is, it will take some 30 days more to get here. Sorry I can't be more cheerful.

Bluechip, thanks for the reply, but I must confess to be a bit lost!
Is this correct: A guy using the name Andy to post messages on this forum was christened Yan Jun and he's the Hubei employee you know or have emailed in the past?
Could this be same Andy with the red logo? When you refer to the possibility of Andy knowing my agent you mean Hu Qin (export agent), not the shipping agent, correct? Thank you for being patent with me. All the best Andyspain

David, I don't know who you bought your tractor from, but if it was from Hubei and if the guy using the name AndyTractor is a Hubei employee perhaps he can give both of us some answers. (look at my last post addressed to bluechip) I've had communication problems with the person I'm dealing with at Hubei. I'll give you an example: I wanted to know about shuttle shift so I gave this Hubei employee the choice between two possible configuration types. The answer I received was yes! LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK

Just wanted to clear up. I have never done business with Hubei. I have communicated with Andy (Yan Jun) in the past concerning Benye tractors but never ordered any. I have not had contact with other Hubei export agents. My post has to do with shipping time from China.

David, 30-45 days to build and prepare the container and another 30 days for transit is a good estimate. about 80 days is realistic, inspections and such on US side can add 1-10 days also. Currently Long Beach is about 1 week behind getting containers out of port add this all up and you can ahve a container load order take up to 100 days! single tractor order would probably be longer as someone has to sort out the container that holds the individual shipments...

This is import times for uSA only. Andyspain may more or less issues.

Andyspain,
You should get a BL within 2 or 3 weeks of your shipment leaving China. I usually get mine a bout a week ahead of the arrival of the shipment.

Your contact at Hubei or the shipping company should be able to tell you where your tractor is!

Thanks for the reply Bluechip. You've been around this industry for a while it seems. I, on the other hand, can only go on what I read. I read "A:- For customers in the USA, normally 45 - 55 days after your payment, you can get the tractor anywhere in the USA. ( 30 days for manufacturing, 15 - 25 days for sea shipment and delivery)" This, I find somewhat misleading as to date I've been waiting 82 days.
Naturally I'm concerned. Today I received an email from Hubei asking for the balance of the pro-forma invoice as a condition of them forwarding the B/L!

Andy,

They will not forward you the original BL without full payment. In the U.S. we cannot clear customs without the original. They should have sent you a copy. It is a good indication that the tractor is at least on the water.

Thanks,
Bruce

Andy,
I believe my post says 80 days, I do not know who you are quoting but I agree with you that is shorter than should be expected. I have no idea how long to get to Spain, I suspect MUCH longer than Long Beach CA!.
Normally they do not ship until paid in full so it may be that it is ready now or that it has in fact shipped but the ownership is transferred with the Bill of lading so as Bruce says have them give you a copy as proof that it has shipped. Seems someone should be able to tell you an estimated arrival time.
