Trans fluid in my wod splitter

Found this in a features and benefits list "Hy-Gard oil can be used in most applications calling for 10W-30 or 5W-30 engine oil for transmission and hydraulic oils. " I presume Yanmar calls for a fluid change before the fluids have gone bad so the old old old splitter oil goes out and the old trans fluid goes in. Thanks for the input.

A neighbor was a petroleum engineer for Shell.
He said hydraulic oil was the bottom cheapest oil made.

On his tractor he used SAE 30 non detergent oil.

Might add some machinery actually calls 4 std oil in specs.
