Trailering my Kubota B7800

I need to take my K B7800 about 50 miles to local dealer for some maintenance and repair. I have a tandem axle flat bed, 7000# capacity trailer to haul it with. I am planning on ratcheting a 5/16 chain in the front and one in the rear is there anything else I need to do to be legal ? Brakes,lights and tag are all good and up to date.

I have a B7800 that I haul on a 7,000# tandem axle trailer. I loop a chain around the front weight mounting plate (under the radiator). For the rear I put a clevis in the hole in the draw bar and loop a chain through that. Both chains are then tightened with ratchet booms. Make sure your chains are pulling against each other when you snug them. Also make sure you have enough weight on the tongue of the trailer.

I would chain at four points as is often discussed here. Under 10klbs, you really only need two chains in most states. But, my tractor dealer was hit, in the trailer, while hauling a tractor. Other driver missed a curve, and hit the trailer hard. With four points of attachment, that tractor did not move, even though part of the trailer was damaged, as well as the wheels broken from the axles of the trailer.

I chained from four points before, now I do for sure. I use two chains, but they are long enough I can make four independant attach and bind points.

Otherwise you describe how I hauled my old Kubota, which was the same size, but older.
