Trailering a B2920 & rear tie-down location?...

The only other place might be on the inside of each rear tire over the axle. It might be a pain to attach but you know the machine would never go anywhere!

Ditto that. Recently brought a JD755 back from upstate NY for a friend. I looped the strap over the inside of the tires (around the axle), doubling the strap (and it's streangth). I took both side of the strap to the opposite corner of the trailer, in effect tieing the right side rear axle to the left rear of the trailer and visa versa.

Always better to double, always better to cross.

If I ran my truckinto a wall, I don't care if the tractor moves...I got bigger issues..
My only point was that if I had an accident (run into a wall, rear-end a car or truck) the last thing I want to worry about is my 5 - 7,000 lb tractor coming through my back window. I would feel much better with something that captures the chain. Even if the chain became loose it would still stop the tractor. If the chain became loose with it running over the BH hooks it could pop out when the tractor tried to move forward in an accident., I know he still has the straps, but I don't know how I feel about the hooks in the draw bar pin holes. I would have the chain through the BH hooks, and a chain through a clevis/shackle on the draw bar. Maybe the way I would do it is overkill, but If I prepare for the worst then I shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Gary,

I agree with you. I wasnt really comfortable with just the BH hooks and the idea of usinig a Clevis or Shackle really sits well with me. I always over strap in the past for redundancy and always had a meaty part of my former BX22 frame to hook or strap onto. This is my first year with not only my new B2920 but also working with chains and binders so when I went to hook up for the first few tims I was stratching my head until the replys on this post told me to utilize Shackles off the draw bar.

Got'ta love this site!

Thanks all.
