Trailer tounge estention

I have a 18 foor cargo trailer that I want to extend the tounge about 12-18 inches. Reason is,
I want to mount a 13 hp Billy Goat leaf vac. on the tounge. I need the clearence for towing/turning. Anyone ever done it?

not a good idea.

sell the 18' landscape trailer and buy a 20' version and dont use the first 12-18" of bed.
