looking for input from everyone:

I am in need of a larger flatdeck trailer to move a grain truck. I cannot find one anywhere to borrow/rent. the few I have come across are too short. So I was thinking of purchasing a 30ft flatdeck and making it available for rent. I will use it during hay season to move large bales.

I am wondering if available "they will come".

looking for pros cons, and thoughts.

It will be tore up in a month. Just the way rental anything works.

Just hire it gone and save you money!

What Chris said, plus what about the insurance for a rental trailer? Willing to bet it'd be high.

Is the grain truck move a one time thing? If so just hire it done.

A trailer that can handle a grain truck is likely in CDL territory. Most people moving things of that size either have their own truck and trailer or hire it done. The average joe that rents a trailer likely isn't going to have enough truck or the CDL to pull it. When I think of renting trailers I think of the little home depot specials so people can bring materials home not big heavy duty trailers.
