I'm doing a major make over of one of my equipment trailers and I am looking for opinions on painting it. There is at least 6 coats of paint on it and I am sick of having to repaint it every two years. This trailer is used everyday in my landscaping business so it takes a beating but there has to be something that will stand up for more than a couple months. Was wondering about using a truck bedliner. That stuff goes on at least an 1/8th inch thick and seems to hold up pretty well. opinions?

I would get it Bed Lined like you said. I did this to a Bush Hog and it looks like new. I know a guy who also had a entire Jeep done.

I like the idea of using bedliner. I think it would hold up well.

Do you plan to remove the existing paint first? If the paint is flaking off it could take the bedliner with it.

I restored a 25 year old trailer that had been sitting in a pasture for the last 10 years last year. We wire brushed to remove all the rust then painted heavily with black rustoleum. So far it is holding up to moving tractors, implements and logs.
