Howdy All,

I got tired of wearing out ramp parts and the noise of just going down the road, So I added a cheapy NAPA shock to the ramp and low and behold quiet!!

It is mounted within 3 inches of maximum stroke to provide maximum leverage on the heavy ramp.

Finally time to do it with all the rain.

No more rattling and sounds of destruction from the back.

It's easy to use, I just wish I had done it earlier in the life of the trailer.

The shocks on all the time or only when raised like the support next to the shock? Interesting idea. I have a tilting deck so no need for ramps, but was annoyed by rattling ramps on a friend's trailer before I got mine.

From the pic it looks like they are just there when the ramps are up?

If so and if it works great but wouldn't a bungee cord or a ratchet strap do the same thing? Now if they are set such that they allow the ramps to move up and down dampened by the shock that is pretty slick.

now you have to unhook 2 items per side? They make rubber bushed heim joints that you could make a stay link out of.
