Does anyone make an adaptor for a lawn tractor that would let you connect a small trailer (ball hitch)? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Just buy the the short trailer "ball mount" (that slides into the receiver), and bolt it to the tractor. It's what I do.

i had the same issue. i got a piece of flat iron 1/4"x1/2"x6" i drilled two holes next to each other (at one end) and attached them to the tractor, then one hole on the other side to for the ball... it works well. and it took 15 mins and cost less than $5...

I did the same thing with a flat 1/4x 2 by 7'' long flat piece of scrap steel that I had just laying around? Didn't cost me anything. I had to drill holes in 2 different locations on the tractor end of the adapter so that it would fit on either my Bolens or power craft tractor.

It's quick and easy to install or remove so I can switch from pulling a trailer with a hitch pin type tongue to a trailer with a ball type hitch in 2 minutes or less.

I'm not sure it works cause all I've got to go on is my experience with it which don't tell me nothin.

How do you know it does when all you have is your actual experience with it? </font>

Here's what we do:

Buy an 18 inch square receiver tube (Northern, Hab. Frt. or TSC)

Buy ball mounts at the heights you need them

We use it with vise mount plates sometimes if we need to hold things for repair or cutting in the feild.

Also, we put an extension on one and added a light mesh carrier for tools. Works great, alot nicer than towing a cart around /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
