I am building a 3-point trailer hitch out of scrap iron that laying around. The main 2" receiver part I picked up at a metal drive I was part of years ago.

Anyway I am building it to attach to a quick hitch and I am looking for a bushing to go from 3/4" inside to 1 1/4" outside 2" long. Any idea where I can buy one? I don't have a 1" drill bit or I could drill out the bottom hole and use a Cat 2 to Cat 3 bushing.

My local steel supplier lists a DOM tubing that's exactly that size. 1.25 od and .75 id. Presumably other suppliers can get it also.

Thanks, I will call tomorrow.

I thought about doing two bushings a Cat 1 to Cat 2 and then a Cat 2 to Cat 3 but nobody locally has that setup either. The local parts store could order but over $15 bucks for the pair, forget that! A place called Agri Supply has them for under a buck each.

I use cat 1 to cat 2 and cat 2 to cat 3 bushings on most of my implements. Your tractor dealer or a farm store should have the bushings.

Fleet farm is where I get mine at if you have one close by.

McMaster has .75 I.D. 1.25 O.D. tubing for like $23/ft.
I buy the 1-2 and 2-3 at Tractor supply for like $4-5 total. Falls into the *whatever* category.

Those may not be 2" long, more like 1.75"

The ones on agrisupply say 2" long. I assume they are all the same.

Believe it or not I have checked with both tractor dealers, parts houses, farm stores, bearing supply and two hardware stores. I found the cat 1 to cat 2 in the hardware store in town. The problem is the 2"length, I should have made it 1.75. The local farm store (50 miles away) has both in the 1.75" length. I'm going to use a couple of washers for now, to narrow the gap. I copied the design of my Landpride rear blade instead of doing a little more research. I have to chock it up to inexperience in fabricating.

By the way I priced the shipping from Argi Supply, $13.94 UPS. Maybe half that for usps.

No DOM tubing that size in the area.

I got it done all it needs is paint now. I found the 2" top link bushings at a farm store, geeze. Anyway my first tractor project is almost done. Now for a ballast box.
