Arly no matter what tractor you get it seems you will run into something that you wish it would lift but won’t. A 3033r had pretty decent lift capacity so yes it will do trail work.
After today, I'm thinking a 4 series size might be best.......

You're gonna need a bigger trailer.

I tried out a heavier line today, 0.95 vs 0.80. Arly always says run the heaviest you can. 0.95 is the biggest mine will take and it holds about a third less line. I think it will make it up by lasting longer. I’m not sure it doesn’t feed a little better, maybe because it’s a little heavier and pulls harder?

Mowing trails and moving rocks today. (y) Things are wet here and not impressed with turf tires ability to get through it. (yes I know how to put it in 4WD and differential lock, did used them) Rock was to block atv access. Was a stump here that rotted away.

Turf tires are not known for their traction, especially in wet/soft conditions. Does picking up your mower so the weight is supported by the 3 Pt hitch, rather than the rear wheel make a significant difference in your traction? I'd suggest filling your rear tires, if they are not already full. However, even with extra weight, turf tires might not get you what you need.

If swapping tires is not in the cards, you might want to look at chains for the rear tires. I uses studded "euro-style" chains on my R4 tires. I originally bought them for winter-time traction on snow and ice, but I have also found them useful when working in the woods. I tried a couple other, less expensive styles first: ladder style was OK for forward traction, but not good when operating on side-hills. Duo-grip chains had good forward traction and greatly improved lateral traction, however at higher speeds on roads or hard ground the ride felt as though it was going to shake my fillings out and rattle the tractor to death. The Euro-style has excellent forward and lateral traction and a smooth ride.

Havent seen many tractors of that size with turfs. Most dealers here seem to push R4. I went with R1. R4 might be better option for trail work to lessen impact on the trail.

I think that is a tractor he borrowed.

Turfs work good on snow, especially if it’s paved underneath and they also work good on finished lawns. Ag tires are the best otherwise and industrial are the toughest.
