The bobcat screaming while sitting in the deer stand paints an interesting mental image.

It seems someone posted something interesting about his Uncle, who was named Jack, and something about a horse?

Sounds strange, but I believe a bobcat did use one of my tree stands - for a bathroom, a couple of years ago...I climbed up for the first bow hunt of the season and found scat, and then about a half hour after light, a bobcat walked up and went to the bathroom right under the stand - and left the same looking scat.

he just figured the "upper" was occupied, so he just used the "lower"

Maybe he was hunting out of it too? or maybe he was just being friendly and helping you cover your scent. Nature is awesome.

I've heard a bobcat scream several times while sitting in a deer stand. That is probably the scariest sound I have ever heard.

Definitely will send a chill down your spine and make the hair on the back of your neck stand up.

They do sound bigger than they are, especially when you can't see them.

Eddie-Not mine-my neighbors. she said it was some off brand thing that some guy had put together for her-it failed not long after she shot this shot of the cat. Clarity to me is unreal compared to most of the ones you see.

Many years ago my brother in law and I left a very nice stringer of frogs at a pond after a bobcat screamed near us. About midnight and pitch dark with no moon. Backed up a hundred yards to the truck with rifle and gig ready to fight off anything. When it's not expected it will make the hair stand up on your neck.

We had a bobcat near here peering in someone's living room window. He was home at the time, took a picture of it, thinking it was one he** of a big domestic cat. Showed it to someone who told him the difference, made the local news.
