Trading Up

After debating this for a few years and keeping watch for a good used replacement I finally decided to trade up to a newer tractor. I've had my current set-up for 13 years and have no complaints at all with the tractor, loader or backhoe. (Not so much the MX-6....you can read about that piece of junk elsewhere on this website!!) All those years and the tractor has never failed to start. I have worked the loader and backhoe hard with very few issues and have been mostly pleased with my well researched decision back in 2003 to buy Green. So hopefully sometime tomorrow I will switch out my 2003 4710, 460 loader and 48 backhoe open station with a 2016 4044R Cab with an H180 Loader. Frontier 76" front mounted snowblower is on order and will hopefully be here before we get any major snow. The rough work on my property is done and now at my age I look forward to being in a cab when brush-hogging and clearing snow. The other work will just be gravy! Can't wait to get the 4044R here and play around with it!

Cold yes, fun to play in YES!.... do we get tired of it by February... YES!

You wouldn't think in Northern Virginia the snow is that bad but the past few years we have had some massive snowfalls. My driveway is half a mile of "millings" and I also clear my development when I'm home which is another mile or so. That's a lot of loader and scraper work in the cold. The snow is fun though....especially with my three boys!
