Hello - I am working with my dealer to trade my perfect 2210 with 62C MMM, and 200CX FEL for a 2320 with 62D MMM and 200CX FEL. My 2210 is a 2004 model with 100 hours. It was used to mow and light loader work. I would like to upgrade since I am starting some bigger projects.

What would be a fair trade? One dealer offered my tractor and $7500 for a new 2320 with 62D MMM and 200CX FEL. Does that sound reasonable?

That sounds way high to me.
Why not Keep your Loader and Mow deck?

I traded my 2210 for a 2007 2520 with 200cx. The 2210 was the first year of the 2210, so whatever year that was. The 2210 had the 210 loader on it, and thats all.
I owed like $8,000 for it with the bigger bucket, and hood guard.

I'd really consider going up to the 2520 if I was you, its soooooo much more machine. The fast hydraulics are awesome, and I can't imagine having less power than the 2520 has.....so a 2320's gonna be less power.

The dealer thinks it would be easier to just keep the FEL and deck on the 2210 and give me all new with the deal. Plus, I want the option of the drive-on deck. The 2520 is a nice machine but just a little too big. In reality, the 2320 might be pushing my limits. I want to upgrade due to the FEL. I use it way more than I thought I would and the 2210 is a bit small for the lifting I have been doing. Also, I may like to add the backhoe in the future.

This dealer has been very good to me in the past. He said with the 3years 0% it would be more difficult to sell my used 2210 when there are new 2305 sitting there for great financing options.

Should I pass on the 2210+62C+200CX FEl+$7500 for the 2320+62D+200CX FEL?

Well the good news is the loader dosent need to change - 200cx is used on all 2000 series. That will help you - Im wondering what is the compelling issue for you to upgrade? You would be better served selling the 2210 on your own, and make more money on it - its real low hours and still in demand.

My own personal montra is when it comes times to upgrade, Im gonna upgrade - and the difference will be significant - otherwise is their really a need to upgrade?

Good question. I guess I thought the 2320 would offer a bit more power when using the loader and the option for a backhoe in the future. I like the drive-on deck and just the fact that the 2320 is a bigger frame unit. However, the 2520 seems a bit too big.

Perhaps I'm misguided. I like my 2210 but the desire to have a bigger frame tractor is driving my testosterone. I was lifting a rather big tree (root ball) the other day and the 2210 seemed to run out of hydro power. Plus, I'm getting ready to put a barn up in my yard and wanted to cut the sod off the top. I thought this would also be a good excuse to upgrade.

If this group does not feel the 2320 will not bring me more green joy, then perhaps I need to re-think this upgrade.

bheston,

You have not listed a single reason to upgrade from the 2210 to the 2320 (not knocking either). If you want/need to upgrade, well then upgrade (that 4720 WILL fit in your garage).

I just upgraded/ordered (it is not in my yard yet) a 2320, 200CX FEL and 54D MMM, simply could not afford the extra for a 2520 or I think I would have went to it like some of the others. My upgrade might be easier to understand, the GT245 Garden tractor would not take a loader or much of anything except mow. I stayed with the smaller deck due to the wooded area we mow. The 62D was just over $500. more in price.

The dealer did give $3500. trade for it or the other way put was $11800. plus my trade. My garden tractor only booked for $2700. but was extra clean and only 130 hours on it. Just passing the info. along if it helps.

I looked at the 2305 which I think is about the same as the 2210 but it only had about half the lift capacity of the 2320 and it was noticably smaller in size and weight.

All Props to Chris and Deadman but I am pretty darn happy with my 2320. It has done everything I have asked of it, maybe not as fast as a 2520 would have but still darn quick. Let us know how you like it when it does show up. Oh yeah; if you are digging in anything really hard you have got to get a tooth bar, boy does that make a difference
