Helped the neighbor with a little wood today. But it was just to hot. I only lasted a couple of hrs.

My daughter picked what part of the log she wanted for the bench, and I cut to length. Then sanded with 80 grit, then 150, then 220.

Drilled the holes to mount them to the bench frames. Then it was time for the epoxy, I painted on a decent coat, maybe 1/8" or so, and let it sit to cure.

Then loaded them up to take to the camp.

Despite the epoxy sitting and feeling only slightly tacky, it was not fully cured, so I got some dull spots where any pressure was applied, aka fingerprints etc. Oh well, it had to be done on Sunday, so I just couldn't let it sit any longer. Here's the final product in its "Bus stop" type alcove. Epoxied rebar into bench legs & the concrete floor. The brackets are recycled plastic and about 30lbs each.

Looks great. West System epoxy? Think the mix ratio was off, or just not mixed thoroughly? Odd for it to not cure after a few hours, especially at 1/8" thickness (thicker cures faster).

TotalBoat Tabletop Epoxy, which is meant to pour up to 1/2" thick. Cure time should be 12 hours, however it was into the upper 50's at night which will slow the curing time. By the time we were packing up & taking photos, it felt pretty much set, didn't risk sitting on it yet though, thats the last thing I need, my denim ass print forever in the bench!!

The mix was pretty dead on, I left the brush in the epoxy to help remove the epoxy from the bucket. However this happened instead....
