My dad does that same thing with totes. The dream is to have 100-200 of them, so that you never have to handle it again until it's time to burn.

Just build firewood boxes! Designed properly, green wood dries faster in them than in totes or piles. Mine hold 1/2 cord... SR

It looks like it would be way easier to unload VS a tote.

How is it getting the wood out since you have high sides all around?

First stem of the skidding season. 20"dbh @32' Dead red oak up a 30% incline. Cut it up in thirds and put it to bed waiting for the splitting season in Oct.
