I guess a knot in the rope must be an option for a Farmi. Mine didn't have one. I'm putting one in it after reading what happened to Gordon.
More desirable features than some, not sure how much better working they are though...One time I was over a friends place. He had a Wallenstein winch. It had a knot in the rope. I asked him what it was for. He said he wasn't sure but probably so you wouldn't loose the rope down inside. Some how I remembered that little knot and put one in my rope as a marker. Probably what it is really for. You always said Wallenstein's were better SR - guess that proves it...:laughing:

I believe his are in front as well on his L3400. I guess Kubota never figured their owners might take their L series into the woods. The least they could have done was to fabricate guards owners could have just slapped on.
Yeaaa, you need to do all of your skidding, down a road to get them home, like I did... lol
