Tractor Trilogy

/ Tractor Trilogy #2
I haven't read that one (yet) . I've read about everything else "Ol' Rog" has written though. He's about the funniest human to ever write a book .

The funniest thing I've read of his was a description of a trip to retieve a tractor where he wired his trailer barakes to the turn signal on the truck. Things got kinda interesting when he made it to the first turn! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Well, I guess I'm going book shopping. I'm already laughing at the turn signal screw up you mentioned. That is too funny, and unfortunately something I might do /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Thanks for the book tip!

I've read most of Welch's books. They are worth the time. Many funny moments and also some useful wisdom about tractor fixing.

If you like them, I'd recommend Patrick McMannus books. Similar setup, but all about outdoorsmen activities. Very funny stuff. His first deer story is worth the price of three of his books.

Cliff,
I agree with the Patrick McMannus read. His books are great! The stories of himself, Retch and Rancid (I think that was their names) growing up would remind me of some of the messes me and my cousins would get into back on my Grandmother's farm. I am sure it would bring back a lot of similar memories for a number of TBN'rs here.

He published a cookbook several years ago that I got for my wife - as a gag gift as it was mostly game recipes - but she started going through it (she reads cookbooks like a novel) and found some great recipes for Chili, beef, etc that we tried.

I will have to go find some of the Roger Welsch books. Sounds like would be a great read if anything like McMannus.

Take care,
Eddie

Cliff, I just looked at the bookcase behind me and it looks like I only have 8 of his books. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
