tractor tires

I am in need of purchasing tractor tires. I priced these tires (11.2x24) pair 6ply, new, with tubes for $240 Plus shipping from tucker tire. this is considerably less than the local dealer. How come?

Did you price them from a Kubota dealer? We get wheels and tires from Kubota. A tire dealer will only have the tire.

I guess you have never done business with tucker tire. he commonly sells /ships tires, on rim, with tube installed, as a package... Makes it SUPER easy for the purchaser to simply air up and install to center and go.. vs booting the tire and rim.. etc.

In other words.. not ALL tire sales places ONLY sell tires.

I was just trying to answer the question why the tire was cheaper by thinking the tire dealer may be pricing the tire only and not the wheel/tire combination. And no, I have never done business with Tucker Tire.

And yes.. i agree with you.. I would expect a tire by itself to be way cheaper than the combo imentioned... some tubes can be 50$ each... The ones for my 16.9x24 turfs are /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
