Tractor securing.

Always look to tie down with at least four of whatever: I've use straps on my NX). One on each axle side. And run them STRAIGHT (DO NOT CROSS!). If you lose one you're likely going to be fine. If you go with two straps (which is all that is supposed to be required for a load in the weight range of this tractor) and something happens to one of the straps you're going to be in big trouble.

I strap down tight and then run a strap through the loader tube to hold the loader down. I don't consider the loader anything to really support the tractor: but, given my trailer and how my NX rides on it, I end up with the loader's quick attach pads right at the rear end of the trailer, set into the channel that's for the ramps (treat it like a wheel chock). I've only transported my NX twice, one trip to the dealer and one back from the dealer. I used seven straps. 16' trailer (12k gross; four wheel electric brakes).

Use with hooks with clips or whatever to ensure that if things slacken that the strap/chain/cable/whatever doesn't pop out of what it's hooked to and fly away.

I’m new to the tractor owner world. I just ordered a Kioti CK 2610 and a 18 foot trailer. it will probably be a month before I get it but that hasn’t deterred me from getting the bug. I thinking securing methods now. I picked up four 5400 pound rachet load binders today to secure it to the trailer. What rate and sized chain would I need for securing. I know the load binders are a bit of a over kill but they were on sale for $14 each so I couldn’t go wrong. Also where would there be good securing points on the tractor. It will have a loader and backhoe on it. Thanks.
Where did u buy those for $14? Thx

Actually the tractor weighs almost 5000 with the loader, the backhoe and the ballast in the tires. I will be going with 4 chains. I just bought two 20 foot 5/16 grade 70 chains and cut them in half. Those chains are not cheap. Lol
That's exactly what I did years ago when I needed to transport my L4330. You'll be happy with those chains!

Dang. I see lots of time getting chains or straps onto the rig. I drive my dk4510 up to the front of my 20 foot trailer so the bucket (level and in down position) touches the rail. Lock the brake, leave in low gear, lower whatever implement and run one 3/8 chain through loader tube and use one ratcheting binder. Haul 45 miles one way roughly 5-6 times a year on roads that were made 50 years ago. Never had an issue.

You have gotten lucky. Per the law a tractor needs a minimum of two tie downs if it is under 10,000 lbs and four if it weighs more. Aside from the law the way you are securing it won’t help much if you are in an accident.

Perks of country living I guess. Law actually sees me fueling up and talks with me while I’m fueling asking about food plots etc. But seriously you won’t get over 40 mph on these old roads. Beats you to death.

I get the country part. The entire county where my property is located has a population of 2,200 people. The sheriff doesn’t give a hoot about much. Still I have been stopped there by a random state DOT officer that was passing through and wanted to go over everything with a fine toothed comb. Not a frequent or very likely occurrence but it does happen.
