Tractor seat smells like a dumpster

I have been really happy with the purchase of my L4330 with one small exception. The cloth seat in it smells like a dumpster or a rugby locker room. The cab cleaned up well but I just can't get the old dirty sweat out of the seat. It's so bad that my clothes stink after using the tractor.

Temporarily I have used a towel over the seat but that hasn't solved the issue. I don't want to use plastic of any type as that would be too hot and uncomfortable.

Rather than purchase a new seat (OEM seat is crazy expensive) I was thinking of removing the seat and washing it with a hose and soap then let it air dry. If that doesn't work maybe take it to a auto interior shop and see if they can remove the cloth and foam and recover.

If you have any suggestions by all means share them.

Have you tried Febreze? I understand it to work very well on cloth truck seats.

You could try a spray can of Ozium,spray it directly on the seat and let dry for a few minutes.

I would scrub it down with your choice of cleaners and suck out the moisture with a shop vac.

OR, taxicab seat, theater seat, airplane seat (worse yet, tray table)

Unbolt the seat, mix up 25% vinegar and 75% water mix and wash the seat. Dry the seat the best you can and let sit in full sun to kill mold.

There's a product called Zorb that can work wonders. I usually pick it up at the local Lowes but you can also get it online. It really does an incredible job of eliminating funk smells.

 

[Coyote machine]

Get Spray 9 and spray it on a sponge and clean the cloth. Soak it good with the Spray 9, and make sure to mix it with lots of warm water. Air dry or use a hair dryer and repeat process as necessary until all odor is gone.
