Tractor Scraper Hourly Rates

Hi all,

I'm located in Southwest Arkansas and would like to know what it would cost to hire one of those big 8 wheel tractors pulling double scraper pans for 24 - 32 hours. Does anyone have any ideas on the cost? Also, what size pans do those tractors usually pull? I'm guessing each pan is around 15 yards for a total of 30 yards when both are loaded, but that's a pure guess.

We're building a large pond and I need a bunch of dirt moved about 100 - 200 yards. If the rates are somewhat reasonable, it would save me a bunch of time on the excavator.

Before fuel went crazy it was about $100 per hour per tractor in NE AR.
I dunno now...

Thanks for that information. It's much better than I had.

I was guessing $125 - $150 an hour.

Any additional information from others would be great. I'll try to post some pics of the project when I get my camera down there.

Has anyone tried to rent one of these setups before? I can find where people are renting the pans, but I haven't found the tractor/pan combination for rent yet.
