Tractor runs but stops

I have a tea-20 tractor when I start it it runs and stops after a minute or two but when I start without moving it it does not stop . Anyone with an idea on the problem. If I wait for 2 or 3 minutes I can start it but when I try driving it stops after 1 or 2 minutes

Weak spark? Check rotor arm, distributor cap, contact points, and condenser.

Is the fuel tank clean? Sounds like trash sloshing around in the tank and cutting off fuel flow.

Check for a good flow of fuel to the carb. If you have a good flow to there, remove the brass elbow going into the carb., where the fuel line attaches. There is, or should be a fine mesh strainer screen attached. These can plug with dirt, and cut off fuel flow. Your's may be partially plugged, and allowing a bit of fuel through. Enough to refill the bowl, but not enough to keep it running for an extended time.

A can of spray carb. cleaner, with the plastic nozzle will clean them up in short time.

I agree definitely sounds carb related. Could be gunk in the lines as mentioned before or you might the float sticking in the carb and not dropping the needle valve completely so you are getting restricted flow to bowl of the carb.
