Would any of you folks recommend where I could order rear rims for an old John Deere 2640?
The rims are 14X38. The tires are 15.5x38. Since they have 8 bolts I guess they are called 8 loop rims?
One has been replaced with a Titan rim but I can't locate that source on the internet. The guy that does my tire work said he would check around but said I may have to go to a Deere Dealer.
Thanks

Chances are it was a Titan built rim to begin with. Check with Rimex, I'm thinking under two or three layers of BS they are one in the same as Titan.

There are lots of people that make wheels for tractors. Out here in the midwest, we have many choices on wheels. There is Central AG Wheel in Wichita, KS, also CFI Tire in Des. Moines, IA. Wold Wheel, and Unverferth as well. All these guys can make you a wheel that size with what ever bolt pattern you want. Sounds like you have an 8 hole wheel. They should be able to fix you up. Also, you can look at some tractor salvage yards for one and paint it.

Thanks Turbo. I found WaltsTractor.com & Washburn Company on line. They may have what I need. Would like to see a picture of their rims. I'm going to talk to my tire man again and run these contacts by him.

Hey Wheel Co.

That wheel is likely made in at least two parts, sometimes three. At a minimum there's a center piece (spokes) which is attached to the tractor hub with lug bolts. The actual rim is then bolted to the outer circumference of the spokes. Leader Industries in Knoxville (TN) can likely fabricate and paint what you need. Check with mark@leaderindustrialtires.com. Won't be a whole lot cheaper than dealer price, but - given your proximity to Knoxville - it would at least save you freight and tax.

Thanks guys. I have made some contacts and waiting on replys. Just want to make sure everything matches before ordering anything.
