Tractor knocking

Hello guys I have a Tafe tractor and the engine is making a knocking sound and blowing oil out the dip stick tube any ideas and advice would be appreciated.

It sounds as if you have excess carbon in the exhaust valve and muffler and the pressure is backing up into the crank case.

Did you own the tractor when it did not knock?
I had my JD diesel out today,, and if someone who knew nothing about that tractor heard it,, they would be positive it is gonna blow up when it is idling,,


It does some serious knocking at idle,, Ahhhhh,, like music!!
