I have a line on this 12 hp Gravely machine. I’m gonna take a look at it tomorrow so I don’t really know a whole lot about it other than it has a mower deck on it and I’m more interested in getting a brush hog for it. The guy is asking $700 for it. Are brush hogs hard to find to put on these things? Also, I don’t know how well these things work on Hills. Any opinions on these things would be greatly appreciated!

You should be able to find a 30" bush hog without much issue. I used to have 10 - 12 different attachments years back. Handy machines and that's not a bad price if running.

If that's a flail mower, might not need a brush deck. 12hp Kohler engine. Condition of the engine is pretty important as the old K series no longer made. These things are heavy duty and weigh a lot. I used mine on a hillside, but had dual wheels. You might be able to find dual wheel setup if you really need it, but it might work okay with single wheels depending on your hillside.

Thank you very much for the replies… I’m gonna go look at it today, but I’m still on the fence. Thanks again!

I just came back from seeing that machine, looks like it has about 2000 hours on the clock. It has a two blade mower deck looks like about 36 inches. He has a 30 inch brush hog and he would sell me both the machine in the brush hog for $800. The only thing is I need a quick connect adapter. I’m a little concerned that the last guy said make sure that it has a good engine. It started right up and it sounded good to me. No funny noises. would there be a market for the two blade mower deck that has the quick hitch? I understand that adapter is about $300 new. Are those available used? Thank you for any insight!

If it's a twin blade deck, it would be a 40" deck. You could try Richard's in WV to see what he might have. He used to have a lot of Gravely 2 wheel stuff.

You might find some guys in your area who deal in used Gravelys like on Facebook marketplace. Sometimes you can find parts on eBay, but prices vary. There are collector groups, too.

When I was shopping for a 2-wheel I looked for a long time for a Gravely Pro. I gave up and bought a new Grillo instead. The engines won't last forever but you can re-power them with something new, should that be needed. Earth Tools might also have parts and adapters, it's worth calling them.

Are you saying for $800 you'd get the tractor, the flail mower, and the brush hog? AND it runs??
