Price Check tractor hours..!

When I was shopping I went to the 3-day Ag Expo to check out lots of tractors in one place. It's big, and they were using brand new Masseys to pull trams around. But the dealer couldn't call them new anymore and was offering significant discounts for tractors that would have 15 to 30 hours on them. And you could see how "hard" they had worked during all those hours.

That's probably the main reason I still think of 30 hours as "practically" new.

What Jeff9366 said. Mine had 14. I wouldn't dream of negotiating until it had at least 30 or 40 hours. And even at 40, I'd just ask them to throw in the first maintenance before delivery.

I bought a repossed tractor in 98 that had 35 hours. The dealer discounted it by $1500 for those hours. I have no idea how many hours are on two of my tractors as the meter quit working 20 years ago.

Just ordered NEW LS! looked at one dealer the hours were too much for my blood and the backhoe that was supposed to be a left over was Rusted and 2 years old, oh may I add it was also well used. I was happy we got the chance to order brand new

thank you for your reply and info....I held off to and got a new Holland with only 2 hrs on it got it just last week. ..enjoy your tractor when you get it and take good care of it...
