Tractor Cleaning?

Kinda reminds me of an old Russian peasant woman. Not gorgous (forgive me) but reliable and not afraid of dirty work. I'm sure this old girl would cringe at polish, wax and other such foolishness.

After mowing my pastures every day, I blow off the tractor, and the screen radiator protector. After pasture mowing has all been completed, I'll then wash it off with soapy water and a sponge, and then hose it off.

During the rest of the year, I'll blow it off after every dusty/nasty use, such as spreading road rock on my place, and then wash it completely when I'm done.

In the winter and spring when it's muddy, and I'm using it only to basically put round bales out for the cows, there's usually mud I have to go through each time to get to and from the hay bales. I'll wash it about once a month then.

It must work since I just sold my Kubota I had for 6 years and it looked almost like new.

Good advice for a super fine finish. For most though, a couple of coats of wax will do.....Although, I did polish the hood of my L3830 before I waxed it last time /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Definitely makes a difference.

I was just down in Daytona Beach area during Bike Week. Did you go? I was with family so it was hard to spend any time.

No, didn't make it to daytona, I'm supporting a refuel outage at Susquehanna. I'm a weld inspector by trade so spring and fall are my hay baling periods you could say. Its the only time they bring the Nukes down for refuel and inspection. So they gouge the most out of us (consumers) during peak periods of operation, summer and winter. I'm an independent contractor
From here its to Oconee SC, then I hope to make it to myrtle beach for the May rally.
