How many of you guys wax your machine? Today I'm doing the front. Can't play in the dirt, the ground is soaked.

Once in the Spring and again in the Fall:thumbsup:

Every fall my tractor gets a good pressure washing (including the motor)
I go all over it. The tractor gets greased/serviced any thing broken or worn getting repaired/replaced, it gets waxed and any damaged paint repaired/touched up.
It does make a differance. My DK is 11 years old and still looks great.
I attached a picture of my 2001 DK 35 just after last falls yearly service/cleanup/waxing.

Vince that machine looks brand new!!! Is that a factory top?

Vince, that effort has paid off. Good job! I hope mine will look as good in 9 years time.

I keep mine clean and store indoors. It was in for service last week for 150 hours, and when went to pick it up, there was a guy about to count it as inventory as he thought it was new!

Cheers,

Jon

Don't wax my truck, surely not going to wax the tractor :ashamed:

Wash and wax the tractor once a year.

If your truck is like my Dads '03, the rust will have it worth scrap prices in a few years anyways... Hopefully your tractor will last a few decades longer than a truck and might even be worth what you paid for it, if inflation takes off.

Same here. I find waxing to be a chore.
If you put that effort in- it sure looks nice, and for resale I suppose its worthwhile- but I find my time is better spent on other things.

I *do* use the pressure washer fairly regularly though.

I do wax my tractor a few times a year:thumbsup: I also do touch ups on the paint at the same time, worst part is waxing the wheels to kept them from turning pink.

Where do you get your paint from? My dealer wants 15 bucks a can...

Heh - I paid more for my tractor than I did for my car. The car sleeps outside and the tractor gets the garage. I'm also a fan of the regular cleanings and occasional waxing.

I pressure wash my tractor in between hand washes. I wax it a few times a year.

I intend to wax my Kubota sometime soon. I mowed the lawn and used the weed eater today until almost dusk. A thunderstorm prevented me from applying weed killer around our Home and outside buildings. The weather forecast is for more rain the next few days. I will probably attempt to clean and wax the tractor tomorrow because of the rainy forecast.

I wax all my stuff two times. Once when you buy it (makes you feel good about your purchase), and once when you sell it :D. The rest of the time it is used for what it was made for, work and fun!

I've heard of wax- that's what clogs up my ears sometimes, right?
No time for wax, when the ashtray is full I trade up!? Oh, maybe that's the car.
Pressure wash the mud, etc. Touch-up scratches, wash off excessive dirt.
Back to working it.....
