Tractor
MF 1726E
I was brush-hogging--fairly intensive work on a hillside--when my 2017 MF1726E seemed to run out of steam. No oomf. I parked it and rested it for an hour, then tried again. Now it seemed ok. We'll see how it does next time out. Meanwhile, any idea what the problem was?

It was a bit on the low side for fuel. In the past I've had a problem with it seeming to run out of fuel when it was low, but not empty. The dealer supposedly fixed that last year, but maybe that's it?

Maybe inadequate baffles in the tank. Low fuel on a hill which corrects on the flat sounds like a smoking gun to me. Maybe just try to keep at least half tank on the hills

My 2011 MF 2660 was delivered with brakes that would not hold the tractor on a 45% slope and a fuel tank pickup that would cause the engine to starve for fuel trying to go up a 45% slope even with half a tank full. Both problems seemed known to AGCO/Massey and were fixed.

The brakes got a 5th disk per side versus the 4 delivered so now it has real brakes.

The fuel pickup was changed to have a "T" that effectively made a pickup in both ends of the tank with check valves to force them to work. My guess is you need a redesigned fuel pickup in your fuel tank.

When the dealer supposedly fixed yours, he probably did the split pickup but now needs to adjust or re-do it.
