Any Updates?

Still trying out the Terex/ASV. Weather has been pretty crappy, so I haven't been able to use it as much as i like. Got a few more hours in yesterday, and I'm hoping to get some more this week. Ran it along with a good size (25,000 lbs), but older dozer yesterday while moving big dirt around on a site...

... Obviously these machines are apples and oranges. Yet, pound for pound, I'd say the CTL is just about as productive as the dozer, relatively speaking. Granted, this is an older dozer and moves pretty slow. The guy I had along with me was running a newer CAT D4, and that thing, while quite a bit smaller, ran much faster and was very productive. But again, with that said, I was still impressed with the CTL. The muddy clay I was working in would eat up a rubber tire skid steer, or a compact tractor, whereas the CTL had no issues whatsoever.

Still debating...

Went ahead and purchased the Terex PT70. Was a great deal and I'm really liking this machine. Engine and hydraulics are very strong, no leaks, no complaints.

Thanks to those of you who posted your comments.

I think you will like it.
While I have no experience with the smaller Terex's, I have a PT110 which is a good bit bigger and I really like it compared to the Cat299D XHP. (I also did not like dealing with the CAT sales folks.) I use mine with a Fecon in forestry work, not so much dirt work, and the terrain can be "challenging" to say the least. Far better traction than the Cat even dreamed of having.

Thanks, I agree... I think I'll be happy. I'm aware of the potential undercarriage costs, and I can account for then if needed, as they arise.

During operation, I've really come to appreciate the stability, traction, and especially the visibility of this unit when compared to the other brands I looked at.

I've recently put about 50 hrs on the machine and am very pleased with the performance. I'm looking forward to putting some serious hours on her next season.

Little Blue is holding up fine (i think). I havent been to the farm since Christmas Break, but i geuss it probably has a tick over 300 hours now. It is A wee bit too small to do anything too serious, and is pretty chilly without a cab in the winter... Glad you are liking the terex.
