Tracked conversion units to fit the Ford N series were on the market within a year or so of the tractor's introduction in 1939. The units were popular in snow country and are valuable collectors item today. Tracks on farm tractors is a very proven technology.

Having said that, my L3010 with 4WD beats my 1940 Ford with chains. Both need all the weight they can get
