track width adjustment

can the rim and wheel plate be in any orientation to get the width you want?
I have a 4720H and the 3 point stabilizer bars are too close to the tires since i installed the pat's system to run my tire chains.
it appears that I can put the hoop on the rim on the outside instead of the inside of the wheel plate to get me about 2 inches more on either side to clear my tire chains.

is this a supported setup?

@herm0016, I'll be doing the same on by Branson 4225h this spring, for the very same reason, per the advice given to me at Narrowing 3ph arm angle and/or wheel spacers
