On "Good Friday" a tornado came through Murfreesboro, Tennessee. A friend of mind caught the tail end of it and lost 39 mature trees on her property, an 8 acre yard/estate. Being that I spent about a week doing the clean-up with many volunteers along the way she gave me the logs.
Had a guy come out with a band saw mill. The logs produced 2046 board feet of oak, walnut, sassafras, and cedar.
That's me toting a board wearing as my friends call it my "father Abraham" hat.
The last two shots are the end results of that very hot and long day. About 40% of that is walnut.
