You mean like people that buy shirts, hats, etc. with company names on them? I always figured, if I am going to advertise a company, such as Old Navy or Disney, etc. the company should at least give me the shirt or whatever rather than make me pay a way over priced price for it.
I guess that goes along with these girls that buy ripped & torn pants for way more than I would pay for a good pair!!

Yesterday used a palm nailer to drive a pin punch pushing a roll pin in a bailer, that is a nifty trick, was on a 7 gallon air tank not even a compressor, used 5psi...

The Bauer surface conditioning drum sander thing is great too, most of the steel I have around is rusty, works great... haven't torn into it but it seems to hold a solid speed so must sense the rpm and change the amps? I think I just have it on speed 2, very controllable...

I am pretty new here and have not seen this popup in the "new" posts yet, so if this has already been brought up sorry.

I have a class of tools that I put into a very specific group. The "where have you been all my life" tools I think will fit in here. These are things that just make life so much more easy.

An induction heater is one of them, I did a little video on them not too long ago, might as well pimp it a bit.

In all the times I have used it I have never had it not work. It has always done so well, I know stripped nuts and bolts, or broken nuts and bolts would have been instore for me.

Here I am using it on the deck of a 1980's Ford YT16 mower, There is no way you could use the blue wrench in this application with all the dry grass on the deck, but with this thing, just perfect.

I have a tool similar to the Bauer conditioner you mention. They are pretty handy for removing material from surfaces. You can get various types of drums from sanders to brushes to flex abrasive 'sponge' units. I used mine extensively when refinishing old reclaimed wood for a major project. The brush style worked great for the 6x6 and 8x8 old barn beams with rugged surfaces.

Every year had a new hat, and they then sold the old style. Those gimme hats and shirts were rural status symbols. They meant you had enough money to buy new equipment. A transfer tank in your pickup was another status symbol. It meant you had enough equipment that you needed to move fuel in bulk.

I got my first Caterpillar hat, when the old rancher I worked for took me with him, on a trip to town to get tools and equipment to build some catch dams and retention reservoirs. He bought a whole dirt string, scrapers, dozer, waterpull, and compactor. They were giving us boxes of hats and polo shirts.

So, the fashion once had a meaning, and became a status symbol. So, folks capitalized the symbol, and it is now meaning less.

Got my first CAT hat when I worked for Caterpillar, waay back, early '80s as I recall, same with Halliburton.

DeWalt 20v cordless snow shovel got for Xmas. Used about a half dozen times so far, has movable fins to deflect snow. Really like it took place of old one stage gas powered snow blower. Every time I use it find new areas to remove snow. Including walkways, trailer decks, garage entrances, stairs etc. guaranteed to save my back anyway. When snow is deeper use ergonomic adjustable handle suspend shovel and make several passes removing snow deeper on each pass. Have corded shovel up north definitely spins auger faster than DeWalt but not as much torque either. I use dewalt solely down state, however the corded one used up north was a cheap Chinese off brand and not as effective as the DeWalt brand in my experiences. Imo if you bleed black and yellow and have DeWalt 20v batteries purchasing tool alone is worth it.
