Toolcat Snow Removal

   / Toolcat Snow Removal #12
I use the "doggy offset" or "crab" steering feature when removing snow next to a ditch or rounding a tight corner. First place the rear wheels out from the ditch just a bit and then switch to front steer only. This will keep the Toolcat's rear end away from the ditch and keep the Toolcat from sliding into the ditch if you get to close. Offset or crab steering is also great for pulling out of a ditch if you do slide into one. When rounding a tight corner and I want to cut close to the curb, I use the same method to keep the blower or plow right on the inside curve of the turn and the rear wheels away from the snow bank. Works wonders when you get the hang of it.
