I'm going to be doing (hopefully) a fair amount of snow removal this year and I'm wondering how to best insure my TC. My biz carries liability insurance but I'd like to extend coverage to the TC in case a tree falls on it, Mount St. Helens launches a thunderegg at it, or I shoot it because of casting problems. I got a quote from American Family for about $600/year. The agent was nice enough to not break that down so I have no idea what sort of deductibles we're talking about here...nor the extent of coverages other than the cost of my TC. Thus the quote seems amazingly vague.

Any ideas on what to watch out for when insuring a TC? What coverages are mandatory and what are fluff?

Thanks!

I can chime in on the cost part. I inquired about insurance on mine for commercial use and received a verbal estimate of around $600 (or was it $800?) per year. It was not an official quote so I have no idea what it covered other than what I needed to use it commercially. Based upon the low cost I assume it was just liability. Maybe one of the commercial users can chime in on this.

It is covered by your homeowner's policy while it is used on your property.
