1) The machine will now be built on a spine frame as opposed to a box frame. The frame is like one "I" beam down the center of the machine instead of a box around the components. The engine is now side-mounted on the passenger side and a 20 gallon fuel tank resides on the driver's side. The frame design will allow for better component protection and a much stronger and stiffer machine.
2) 4 wheel independant suspension will greatly improve the ride of the machine. Eliminating the rear live axle and leaf springs lets the machine ride better and provides better traction since the wheels can follow ground contours better.
3) The interior has seen some changes in the control area. There is now a dump bed lever instead of a switch so you can simply reach down and grab the lever instead of having to look at it. Some of the other switches have been relocated as well.
4) The cruise control is now based off machine speed instead of hydraulic pressure for better speed control.
5) Boom stops are now integrated into the cylinder brackets so that utilization will be easier and more likely.
6) Cooling capacity has been increased by 30% with the screening being redesigned, the oil cooler is larger and the path is less restricted.
7) The box section has actually decreased slightly in size due to the design changes. No real reason why but it's a negligible decrease.
8) Basic parameters have not changed. I.E. 18 mph top speed, 2,000 lb capacity in bed, 1,500 lb capacity on boom, 4,000 lb tow capacity, etc. It looks the same from the outside as well with no real changes there.
9) Tire options are now available with 27" and 29" tire choices possible. Speeds and ground clearances vary depending on tire size. A true turf tire is now an option as well.
10) The machines now share the "Smart Fan" that is used on the K series skidloaders. It runs only when needed according to the cooling needs of the engine.
Pricing has of course increased along with the upgrades but the machine is very versatile as can be seen here on this site. With the ability to run some 60+ attachments it's almost as varied as the Bobcat loader. Those are the highlights.
