Toolcat 5600c Overheating Issue

How fast are you able to mow with the toolcat? I am considering buying a 72" mower/brush cat from treeterminator.com for semi finish mowing. It is real similar to Bobcats brushcat but it is bi-directional for rough and finish cutting. I just don't want to fork out the money and then be dissapointed. Thanks Brandon

I have a 72 inch finish mower. I mow my large fields up to 4.5 mph which is considerably faster that my Kubota.

I had a 5600C and didn't have any heating problems. When I got my new D I had an overheating problem while mowing. It actually was a problem even using the unit intermittantly.

The hydraulic fan starts out slow at low idle and runs faster at higher RPM's. The tech came out and rigged the fan so it ran full speed all the time and ordered a new fan motor. All is fine now.

I used a stick to start the fan until the tech came out.

To all who have contributed to this issue on this website, my sincere thanks for all the great input! My dealer replaced my cooling fan under warranty, however, the real problem was debris build up on the radiator. I have discovered that as long as I keep the radiator clean which I do after each mowing session and I keep the coolant cap tight, I can mow all day in 95 degree weather without any problems.
