Sounds like a job for some strong magnets.

That's exactly how my SMV is attached (see attachment). I used a couple of EarthForce magnets like these, sandwiched between the SMV and whatever I want to stick it to. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Those magnetic attached devices would last about ~ 3 minutes into my brush hogging... mother nature loves to grab them and get even with me... /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

Yep! When I'm working in the woods, I stick it in a less vurlnerable spot.

Wish I could do the same with my face. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Terry,

Let me add my compliments.. beautiful job!!

At the risk of feeling dumb when I learn the answer, I've been puzzling over what those four little white square things are that appear to be hanging under your right flasher. They are visible in the leftmost picture.

Anyway, very neat.. it's giving me ideas! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Bob,

They're the stickers required by the legal department at JD. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

What you're seeing is the right side FEL mounting post.

Now, what a minute.... or are they the to-do instructions from my wife... hmmm.... better check.... /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Ahah! Yes, I can see the stickers now that I know what they are. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

With your work lights mounted in that position, can you turn around to look behind without getting blinded? It's a very neat install!

Thanks,
Bob

The lights sit just about shoulder height. I haven't had the chance to turn them on yet. Still working on the actual electrical connection. I need to fabricate a bracket for the rear flood light. It will be installed just under the top of the ROPS. That bracket will also house the switches for all of the extra lights.

All of this is thought out, but not fully executed. One of the fun things about these projects is that I've changed my design a dozen or so times. Usually, I'll throw out the general idea and plan. My neighbor then refines it so that we can get the work done without a lot of unnecessary labor.

They're actually dual purpose. One to see with the FEL attached. Two to provide warmth on a winters night!! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I too think he'll need some shades when he turns those on. Maybe some blinders and sunscreen too.
