I would agree. A front end loader is invaluable. Especially if the plan is to only have "one" tractor, then I would call it almost "mandatory". But needs can be different there too, I guess.

We're on just short of 4 acres here, planning on moving very soon to bigger land, but even so, I wouldn't personally want anything smaller than the CUT I bought.

I use my FEL all the time. Sometimes just for convenience, and sometimes because I physically can't lift or move the item I'm working with without it.

Thanks, all, for your informed and informative responses. I've just found out that the tractor does not have the valve kit for a FEL, which kind of eliminates it for me, as I understand the kit is no longer available. We live in the Macon, GA area and have about 5 rolling acres to maintain. We've just relocated and our 25+ year-old Honda riding mower is a little out of its depth. Would not plan to do any snow removal as Macon almost never gets more than an inch or two at a time. Just want to mow the lawn and shift a little dirt around, filling stump holes and the like.

Sounds like you are on the right track in the BX series. Most shoppers mistakenly assume they can get a loader added later at little cost, which isn't gonna happen unless they get lucky.
I know it's too late for the BX in question, but I am of the opinion that 1800 hours is a non issue on a properly maintained tractor.
