Picked up a used tonutti 8 wheel rake, actually it says walton on it but its the tonutti 8 wheel. My thoughts are on windrow size and shape. Most v rakes make a 4' windrow but this thing has offset wheels.I'm just curious if this will make a difference in the windrow width. The bailer I'm using has a 5' pickup(hesston inline).Any experience with these rakes?

Most of the v-rakes that I've seen you can vary the angle of the arms to make smaller or larger windrows. With an 8 arm you are probably going to be limited to bringing two rows together which is pretty standard.

Thats what it was,one arm was adjusted way out. After I got the hydralics cleaned out I folded them down you could see that.

The offset wheels work the same as if you had straight tines like the JD & Vermeer rakes Tonutti builds. It will be a good idea to add the special washers to the rake wheel hubs. The Walton and JD do not have these washers and have bearing failures due to movement on the spindle. The washers are inexpensive and will save you down time in the 2nd year of operation.

So this is the same rake as a JD and vemeer?I also need 3 pins with the washers welded on that go in frame.I'll give you a call.
