Back in the day, my grandad did this.

I was the 8 year old with the magnet picking up nails.

There was retribution for any flat tires...I got expert at finding them all!

Here's hoping you can keep air in your tires!!

Oldpath you are 100% right about that. The house was built about 25 yrs ago. The shingles are absolute top quality redwood, expertly installed. Probably good for another 30 years maybe more. But they were weathered almost black and made the house kind of ugly, The Chief Executive Officer decided we needed to modernize. So I am replacing the shingles with California white cedar shiplap. Not my priority but I have to admit the place looks much brighter and cleaner.

Me too, from 1997. Well, technically we broke ground in 1996.

I finally got a tractor with BH, still don’t have all my digging jobs done.

I heard that about redwood siding, my son saws northeast white cedar, I bet ship lap cedar is pricy but lot easier to put on.....
