Cool, I've had the same hitchhikers this year.

I believe they think I'm the local Uber driver...

I don't mind them on the hood, when the big ones jump on my legs, ugh

There're here...... I picked up the EA box blade and grapple yesterday and tried them out today. Went on easy and looks great. Tried the box blade first and realized in 2 minutes how important a hydraulic top link will be. Learning curve for sure especially with very rocky soil. After an hour figured the grapple would be better for rocks than the std bucket with a piranha tooth bar. Got it on, greased it and then hit the WR Long third function toggle and Nothing. After a couple of hours found the culprit and changed the 2 amp inline fuse. Hit the switch, got the lids open 1/2 way and it blew again. Any ideas? Is 2 amp correct?

Switch grapple to Express Steel 7/8 yd 66" material bucket and scaped 40+yds of rocks and soil and moved it. I like this bucket better than factory; good thing with all the material I have to move.

That’s a nice grapple! Be sure and set you up a good counterweight to get the most out of it. And yes, a hydraulic top link is on top of the list.

As far as the fuse size - do you have an amp meter you can check the solenoids with? I have a three way valve on my 3rd function - I don’t recall the fuse size. I can look tomorrow and let you know. I wouldn’t think the solenoids would draw much. Have you checked the circuit with your ohm meter to make sure it’s not grounding out when you hit the switch?

Spend a long time on the JD 455 (21hp diesel) mower cutting grass lol. I cut my acre and half of grass, cut the pasture for the first time in two years, had to cut it twice (1 acre). Cut the back 1/2 acre of a elderly neighbors property that’s back in the woods on a hill.

The other neighbor has had their mower sitting outside in front of their house for a few weeks now so I cut their front and most of their rear, I didn’t cut up near their house but I cut at least an acre of their grass, I would guess an acre and half of their 2 acres

I spent a good 5 hours on the mower and burned up 3/4 a tank which is a lot for a diesel mower. Drove the mower down the road to the gas station, dumped 5.5 gallons in the tank, drove it home and parked it in the garage.

JD 455 with Oregon G6 blades, the lawn looked like a golf course, the pasture looked like a lawn lol.

Traded for a JD3720 a couple months back. I have put 56 hours on the machine. Doing mostly bushwhacking and clearing out trees that were pushed over for a log road. The log road is now becoming my Drive for a home soon. Anywho, put on the box blade for some final cleanup..pushing small brush piles into a bigger pile... you get the picture. Inevitably you get used to a piece of equipment and you get complacent.....

In my defense the root was hidden by all that dirt and stuff. Anyone know where a fella could get a used Draft Arm? They want 400 dollars for a new one. :shocked:

That looks bendable back into shape and I've straightened worse. Some heat, a heavy, flat faced hammer and an anvil is all you need.
