4.0 so far in the 5088 running the chisel plow. Probably do another 6.0 with the disc

Those can get to be long days, I don't see many rocks that makes it nicer.
We used/ and still do chisel at under 2 1/2 mph because of the rocks, much easier to slow down and work rather then break things and have to repair them constantly.

Got 11.0 in today on the IH 5088. Plan the same for tomorrow. We chisel at 5.5 mph. Very few rocks. I picked them all when I was 10 😂

Ran about 80 acres today!
Ours are very prolific they continually grow and produce more.
Nothing like slogging through plowed and harrowed ground picking up rocks a never ending task

We are known for growing good crops of rocks also, that's why we're call the granite state.

11.0 hours in the IH 5088 today. Put down about 80 more acres between the chisel plow and disc harrow. So 22 hours and about 150 acres by myself in this 115hp relic. Great tractor though, she has done a lot of work in her life.

Saw three bald eagles and 9 deer midday.

Well my seat time today was mowing a soggy lawn, after a minor upgrade to my old F2000 seat suspension;

The mechanical suspension on the Kubota F2000 was pretty well whipped for some odd reason, couldn't have been because it was 39 years old or that I tip the scales at close to 320 pounds.
I had squeezed a toy football in under the suspension for a couple of years and that actually helped, quite a bit when the air pressure was right.
I picked up a seat air spring a year ago and put it on the shelf and promptly forgot about it until I was wanting to mow.
Well today I dug up the fittings and a bit of plastic tube and installed it.
Inflated to 10 psi and backed the old suspension spring down to mid scale, wasn't bad took the pressure up to a bit over 11 psi, dang that is nice.

I like the new seat suspension but the football gave it a special look. I had to look up Kubota F2000 to see what it was. I can't remember ever seeing one of those. Still going after 39 years is a testament for old fashion quality and good maintenance !!

Planted a maple tree from the nursery that had wildly overgrown its container. Pallet forks are just the ticket for popping one of these things out of the ground (mulch). Should have been transplanted a couple of years ago, but couldn't decide where to put it, so just picked a spot in the pasture and said "there". Had to cut the plastic container away from the roots, but I think I did a decent job of saving the roots.

Switched to the bucket for keeping track of soil from the hole and holding some compost mix.

After planting, dropped off the excess soil and brought back some mulch.

Followed by some seat time in the Mule tanker for some water.

Now I've got four more to find homes for.....
